First Church of Christ, Scientist in Charleston WV, also known as the Christian Science Church, is a branch of the Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist in Boston Massachusetts. The Church was founded by Mary Baker Eddy in 1879.
In addition to our Sunday Worship Services, our church offers Sunday School, Wednesday evening Testimony Meetings, a public Reading Room and free lectures. Lectures are based on the teachings of Christian Science, and are offered annually to the public nationwide. Check back on this website for information concerning the lectures to be held in or near Charleston, West Virginia, or contact the local Christian Science Reading Room.
Visitors are always welcome at our lectures, Church Services, Sunday Schools and Reading Rooms. We invite you to come often, and bring your family and friends.
